Creating art is a life long process of learning, stretching boundaries and hard work. It takes a lot of concentration, study and quiet contemplation. Rendering a composition is exciting and satisfying. I want the viewer to share my sense of wonder and joy in seeing the extraordinary in the ordinary things of everyday life whether it is the intricacy of a woven birds nest, a deserted farm house, a field or reflecting the human experience in a portrait. Each painting is a narrative.
Oil and acrylic paint are my mediums of choice. I often use a palette knife as it allows more freedom of expression for me.
